What’s been happening:

This year (2010) my wife Esther and I will celebrate 45 fulfilling years of happy marriage, a marriage blessed with a wonderful family: two sons (James, Tim), James' wife/our daughter-in-law Hilary, and our delightful granddaughter Astrid. We are both retired and together enjoy international travel, gardening, reading, cultural events, and time with family. After earning a BSEE from Penn State, I served as a naval officer at Naval Reactors, earned MSEE from Stanford and MS Advanced Management from Pace University, and spent 38 years in telecom (a field in which I hold several patents), retiring from AT&T as Executive Director in 2008. I am a life member of both Penn State and Stanford Alumni Associations, a Senior Member of IEEE, a life member of ICIN (a global conference on advanced communications and information services), and I remain professionally active. The academic, cultural, and NROTC experiences at Penn State have provided a firm foundation and many rich memories.
